Report on Weekend events

We had a good time this weekend, with Training level 1 / 2 for sailing and power boat.

Sunday we had four boats on the water, including two people on a taster sail. We did not go to Tentsmuir because we saw it was raining there, and didn’t fancy sitting on a wet beach waiting for the tide to turn to get back. In the event this was a good thing, because the wind became very blustery and it would have been a bit exciting beating back up the river.

Push The Boat Out event and request for help

9th May we are having an Open Day as part of the Royal Yachting Association Push The Boat Out co-ordinated events week. We’re asking for volunteers for various tasks – we’ll need sixteen people or so but more always welcome to take on even an hour in some capacity.

A flyer for you to circulate around your workplace or to other contacts has already been forwarded to the contacts e-mail list; or just ask through the web-site contact page.

We ran a bit short of Club buoyancy aids on the weekend courses; so if you have accidentally taken one home please return it. Please also consider buying your own buoyancy aid / waterproofs, they’ll fit better and mean that the Club ones are available for visitors and newer Members.
