Fantastic Rowing Open Day – All were welcome

Skiff launched

It started as a wild and windy day with rain forecast. But Rowers are hardy, friendly group and the first people started to arrive, dressed ready for the wet weather.

Club doors open to welcome the guests.

It was great to see so many people of all ages from the local community willing to give it a try and members made everyone feel extremely welcome. Tea, Coffee and a biscuit on hand to ward off the cold while waiting their turn and a friendly chat to boot. Club equipment was made available to keep everyone safe and warm.

Heave me hearties

Everyone who came got a the chance for a couple of tries out rowing. The weather finally gave a little respite. This is a fabulous form of exercise and there are always great views of Dundee and Fife to experience. It is also amazing how quickly you can get in tune with your crew and the speed this light skiff will move across even the choppy waters of the Tay. The club is looking forward to seeing so many of you back again as members in the near future.
