Report on Weekend events

We had a good time this weekend, Sunday we had seven boats on the water, but with a late launch and variable light winds only one boat got through the road bridge. It was good to see a lot of keel boats on the river, as Royal Tay and Tay Corinthians had been to their Balmerino barbecue.

Next week events

NB: One of the evening sessions will be a training activity organised by Duncan and Danny.

Two races each day, first one at noon. The second race on Sunday is called the Lawson Cup, in which race there is a cup for the first Wayfarer and the fastest Dundee Sailing Club boat. I have attached the application form and sailing instructions, book in at the RTYC race box. Club boats are available if you haven’t your own, you may want to bag one after Thursday’s sail and give it a look over. I’ll make sure the Clubhouse is open about 10am on both days.

Saturday Low Water 11:56, weather good South Westerly 16°C cloudy.

Sunday Low Water 12:35, weather very light Southerly, 15°C sunny.

Our safety boat will be on the water on Sunday, if anyone wants to sail and not race.
