RYA Sailing Courses for 2010 |

Looking forward to next year the Club have put together an extensive Sail Training Program.
We have put together a structure that will allow all members to develop and hone their sailing skills. The Club wants to give all its members the chance to be "as good as they can be".
The first part of this Training Program is open to all. It is the RYA Basic Skills Level 1&2 which is the entry level course under the RYA National Sailing Scheme. On successful completion of the above course you will have the opportunity to further your development under this Program.
The Club will be running 2 Day Courses in RYA Seamanship Skills and RYA Day Sailing. As part of this Program the Club have available the
RYA National Sailing Scheme Syllabus and Logbook. This booklet describes the RYA Syllabus, lets you keep a log of your sailing experiences and your progress through the syllabus to date. Price £4.75
RYA Start Sailing. This manual is for the complete beginner and covers the syllabus for Basic Skills
Level 1 & 2. It covers rigging a boat, your first time afloat and how a boat works, points of sail and much more. Price £4.50
RYA Advanced Sailing. This manual covers in some depth the 5 advanced modules, namely, Seamanship Skills, Day Sailing, Sailing with spinnakers, Start Racing and Performance Sailing. Price $4.95
We will also be running a RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2 and the RYA Rescue Boat Course this year. The Rescue Boat Course will allow those with a RYA Power Boat Level 2 module to further increase their Power Boating Skills.
Also new this year will be a RYA First Aid Course and a VHF Radio Course.
