On the weekend of the 12/13th June the Club will be running a RYA Day Sailing Course. The entry level for this course is a RYA Basic Level 1 & 2. The cost of the course will be £60 and places are available on a first come, first served basis.
The course will cover equipment boat choice, setup & stowing gear weather conditions passage planning pilotage in practice tidal flow pilotage with GPS buoyage landing on a shore decision making during a passage passage in strong winds On completion of this course the successfol sailor will have a confident, safe approach to planning and executing a short cruise in a dinghy. The RYA Advanced Sailing Manual is an excellent reference manual and are available in your Clubhouse. Price £4.95. Each chapter outlines the essential skills to pursue the different aspects of the sport, namely, Seamanship Skills, Day Sailing, Sailing with Spinnackers, Start Racing and Performance Sailing.
