Sailing

There's still some sailing left, with 2 more Sunday sails scheduled in the program this month and the Royal Tay winter series starting this Sunday also - see details at http://www.royaltay.org/on-the-water/open-sailing-events/

Conditions were decent last Sunday with Jim providing the following report: Two Wayfarers made their way upriver across the Firth and through both bridges to land on the west beach at Wormit, driven more by tide than by wind. After the mandatory picnic, a very pleasant beat in a low 3 and on an ebb tide was enjoyed by all. Thanks to George and Klemen for safety boat cover.

This Sunday winds look light again, with a downriver cruise planned for a 1pm launch. Safety helm will be decided on the day from who comes down, though maybe George again!

Painting Clubhouse continuing.

Still more painting to be done, with all the high work now completed, so no more climbing up scaffolding! However volunteers were a bit thin on the ground last weekend so, rather than leaving it to the usual toilers, would some volunteers please come down for 10am Saturday or Sunday for a few hours and the job will be complete. Thanks to Bill for organising this, the results already look good.
